Newsletter Autumn Term 2023
Welcome
Welcome back to all our returners and a huge welcome to all those families joining us this academic year. We are very excited that our new play equipment in the garden has been installed over the summer, the children have already been exploring it! It has been lovely to see the children settling back in and making new relationships with staff and each other. There’s lots to cover in this newsletter so please take the time to read it through.
Staff Updates
This year we are pleased to welcome Geraldine McGrath to the All Saints team. She has joined us from another nursery and has experience working within schools. She will be working in Red Group alongside myself, Sallie whilst Claire and Laura continue maternity leave.
Kim is continuing her treatment and will hopefully be well enough to return later in the year, she thanks you all for the kind thoughts and best wishes.
Tapestry
Please use this as a way of ‘chatting’ with your child’s key person. Staff check their messages regularly and will be able to respond quickly to any questions or worries. Please also add your comments and thoughts to the observations as it’s a great way to get to know you and your child. The staff work very hard at keeping you updated with pictures so please respond if you can and add pictures from home. In the near future we will also organise some meetings with your key person.
Lunches
Please, if possible, send packed lunches in a hard plastic box which is easy to wipe clean. Please also remember not to pack any eggs or nuts (including chocolate hazelnut spread, peanut butter etc.) as we have children with allergies. Please also cut grapes, olives and sausages and cherry tomatoes lengthways due to possible choking. Finally, please clearly name their lunch box.
Book bags
Please bring your child’s-coloured book bag each day so they can bring home their works of art and please check them for important letters from us.
Uniform
If you would like All Saints uniform, please order direct from the website www.myclothing.com and search for the nursery name. Can jumpers/clothes also be clearly named please.
Early Starts
Please remember that we do offer an Early Start (from 08.30 to 09.00) charged at £5 if that helps anyone. You can book a regular slot or use this service as you need it.
Please can everyone check that you have filled in all the necessary permissions and child details (especially collection passwords and health details) on the Parent admin system. Thank you. You will get reminders from the system as well.
Thank you for your continued support.
