Date for your diary
Friday 10th November – Light up All Saints
This is a fun family activity. We meet at the nursery at 5.30pm and have a walk in the dark with torches and lots of flashing lights then go back to nursery for hot dogs and hot chocolate.
Early start
Don’t forget that we have limited spaces for an 8.30am start if that helps you. Also if your child attends afternoons there is the option to drop off at 12 instead of 12.30. Children often prefer to have a play first rather than sit down straight away for lunch.
Gardening project
After many tears and dramas throughout the summer and lots of workmen who didn’t turn up, we are gradually seeing some progress in the garden project. I hope the children have told you lots about it. Huge thanks must go to Elizabeth’s husband who slaved for 3 very hot days with a mini digger and made the rope bridge and tyre climb. Thanks also to Ben and Norman and everyone else who helped out. It’s still not finished we need more plants and the sensory path and a few other things but nearly there!
Funding
Things are looking very serious in early years as you have probably gathered from the press. The new 30 hours has meant that funding has been severely cut and sadly we are having to increase the school fund just to stay financially sustainable. (Please see letter with your invoice)
Parent Consultations
W/C 9th October
For children returning for their second year.
Please sign the list at nursery for an appointment
Snack
There is a box for snack donations in the lobby. If you are shopping and would be able to donate something for the week that would help us offer the children a wide variety of items. Please see the list for items that are popular!
Lunch
Please could you avoid nuts and eggs of any kind in children’s lunch boxes as we have children with allergies.
