Important points on return to Nursery

You will be asked to read and sign a parent agreement. Please read it carefully. Although things are looking better there is still a high element of risk in mixing 50 families and we all want to stay safe and work towards a better future.

PLEASE do not bring your child to nursery if they are poorly for any reason including colds or just generally unwell. Any illness will spread and cause mass anxiety. Staff and children will need to be tested which may result in closures.

NB If your child is attending nursery and you are not getting lateral flow tests at work then you can order them online for your family. Use the link https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests

Everyone in your household should also be symptom-free. If they are not please do not bring your child to nursery.

Please be aware that entry in the morning will take longer. Please be patient, everything we do is for the safety of all our families.

Please wear a mask in the queue at all times and social distance. Please keep your children close to you at all times.

Please avoid using public transport if at all possible on your journey to nursery.

Children should be wearing clean clothes and should not bring any toys and accessories from home. Please could you also make sure that their fingernails are kept short or it’s tricky to clean their hands properly.

Families must follow government guidelines on social interaction. Children do chat about what they have been up to and although we are all hoping for a little more social contact we still have to be very careful.

Please NAME lunch boxes. We have many boxes that look the same. Several parents have found name stickers online that survive the dishwasher. A parent recommended these ones  https://www.tinyme.co.uk/name-labels/sticky-labels

Please don’t put in nuts or eggs and we will provide all drinks.

Please if possible let your child wear shoes without laces. It makes it quicker and much easier for the child to be independent.

We are hoping to organise parent consultations for the last week of term by phone. Please sign the board outside nursery to indicate which day and time would be suitable. Please note the days that your key person is working.

We are hoping to invite the Easter bunny to visit the nursery in the last week of term. He will be in a spring gazebo in the car park. If you would like your child to receive a gift from the Easter Bunny, please complete the attached envelope with your child’s name and return to nursery with your contribution of £5

Please note the last day of term before the Easter holiday is Monday 29th March. Staff are attending mandatory First Aid training for the rest of that week.

Term restarts on Monday 19th April.
