Newsletter Spring 1 Term 2023

Welcome to Spring 1

Welcome back everyone and welcome to our new parents and children! We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! We are looking forward to the warmer weather and have some exciting Spring topics to look forward to.

Christmas

Thank you to everyone who supported our Christmas Fair, it was great fun. The money raised will go towards our current project of replacing the large play equipment in our outdoor area. It was lovely to see the church hall full of families for the Nativity and the children did us all proud with their performances. We hope you enjoyed it!

Easter

This year you are invited to our Easter Service which will be held in the church at 2pm on Wednesday 29th March. The service will be carried out by our Vicar Simon Tillotson and the children will be singing some Easter songs. The children will be taking part in numerous Easter activities.

Staff Update

Congratulations to Claire and Laura who are currently expecting! They will be going on maternity leave during the Summer Term. We will be covering their absences within the nursery, but we are also looking for a qualified nursery practitioner to cover maternity leave. If you know of anyone who is interested, please contact Sallie (Manager). A job advert will be going out later this term for the position.

Early Starts

Please remember that we do offer an Early Start (from 08.30 to 09.00) charged at £5 if that helps anyone. You can book a regular slot or use this service as you need it.
Please can everyone check that you have filled in all the necessary permissions and child details (especially collection passwords and health details) on the Parent admin system. Thank you.
You will get reminders from the system as well.

PTFA

We have an active Parent, Teacher and Friend Association who organise exciting events throughout the year. If you can help in anyway, we are always looking for new members. Please speak to a member of staff if you are interested.

Fund Raising

We are currently raising funds to replace our large outdoor play equipment. We have been getting quotes from UK Play Specialist Companies and it is going to cost approximately £15,000!

Trustees/CIO

The Nursery has started its application to change it’s legal status to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). However we are still a charity nursery who fundraises for equipment and resources.

Planning

We have attached to this newsletter the planning for the Spring Term again for your reference, if your child does anything relating to the topic at home, they are more than welcome to bring it in to share with us or you could upload pictures onto Tapestry.

Thank you for your continued support
