Newsletter – Summer Term 2022
Sun cream
As the weather is great at the moment, PLEASE sun cream your child before they come in the morning. We have lots of children desperate to get out into the garden and it takes so long to cream everyone. Also we have to be very careful of different skin reactions to sun cream. The back garden is very warm by the middle of the day.
Please also name jumpers and cardigans which they are likely to take off.
Sun hats
Please leave a named sun hat at nursery, which they can keep in their tray
Book bags
We are delighted to be able to welcome back the lovely Diane and to offer our pre school children a book bag to take home each week. Please keep these for a week and they will be changed. The staff also will look and comment on any lovely pictures/ work they have done. No pressure though , its not homework!
Uniform
If you would like All Saints uniform please order direct from the website www.myclothing.com and search for the nursery name.
Your invoices
Please remember that we do offer a breakfast club (from 8.30 to 9) charged at £5 if that helps anyone. You can book a regular slot or use this service as you need it.
Crochet pole
We hope you have all noticed the amazing pole at the front of the building, which involved many hours of work from one of our lovely grandmas. Thanks from everyone at nursery! It has really made an impact, caused lots of conversation with the children and cheered up the concrete pole.
Community events
We are currently planning some exciting community events so look out for the PFA newsletter for more details. We are currently fundraising to replace the very uneven paving at the rear of the building with a child safe rubberised surface including a bike track. We are also looking at a new storage shed and a bike store for the front of our building.
If you would like to help at any of the events, please let us know, more hands always welcome as staff are busy with the children during the day.
Lots of people have signed up for the Teddy Bears picnic which should be a fun evening. Let’s hope the weather holds!
If it is sunny and warm we will have ice creams for sale and a teddy bear raffle so might be helpful if you could bring a little cash with you.
Coming Up!!
After half term we will be holding some Jubilee celebrations. The children will be able to dress up as kings/ queens etc and we will have small tea parties each day while we learn about the Queen
