We really need some help to organise new events for this term.
Please get involved and help support the nursery. If we have no volunteers for the PFA we cannot continue to run these lovely community events. Most of our PFA have no longer got children at the nursery. We really need some support from current parents. If the meeting times are no good for you please let us know on the enclosed leaflet.
Several exciting events coming up, please keep an eye on Tapestry and at nursery for details.
Quiz night Sunday 26th January 7.30pm
The Monument have kindly offered to host a quiz night for us with all proceeds going to the nursery. Tables of 6, £3 per person. If you would like a table please contact The Monument on 01227 264155 or let us know at nursery as soon as possible.
Easter Fair Saturday 28th March Details to follow.
We are very pleased to let you know that we were inspected just before Christmas and received a judgement of “Outstanding in all areas”
This is a well deserved result and testament to the hard work and commitment of the staff. The children were amazing and you should be very proud of them all. Thanks also to all the parents who spoke to the inspector or sent letters and to our trustees and the PFA for all their support.
Lunch
If your child stays for lunch please can you ensure that you cut grapes, tomatoes and mini sausages in half lengthways to prevent choking. Thank you!
Also we have lots of toys coming in from home which tend to get lost and cause arguments.
Please leave them at home if at all possible!
Eco project
We will be working with local nurseries on a project to teach the children to be more environmentally aware and to look after our planet. This term we will be focusing on waste and recycling.
The children will have a little booklet to complete which they will be bringing home soon. Please help by talking to them about what goes into their lunchboxes, we are trying to reduce the amount of plastic we use and need to recycle so please think about avoiding the use of single use plastic such as small water bottles. The children can bring a reusable flask or bottle or we provide drinks at all times anyway.
